Executive Director

Hi, I’m Don, the Executive Director at Ashwood Court. I am excited to join a great experienced team here at Ashwood Court and be able to tell everyone about our wonderful community.

I have worked at a number of Assisted Living Communities over the years in addition to working in hospitality, restaurants and law enforcement but nothing has brought me more joy and personal fulfillment than when working in an Assisted Living Community.

Ashwood Court has a great experienced team that goes above and beyond to take care of our Residents. You will find all of the comforts of home here at Ashwood Court, from the delicious meals, enriching and engaging activities, home maintenance and exceptional customer service.

Crystal

Wellness Director

Hi, my name is Crystal and I joined Ashwood Court with over 16 years of healthcare and management experience in a range of settings from senior living, home health, private practice and emergency medicine.

I am passionate about leading and supporting this great team whose focus is serving our Residents.

Gary

Business Office Manager

Hi, my name is Gary and I have been at Ashwood Court since 2014 serving as the Business Office Manager. I really like what I do because I get to work with all of our Residents and their families every month.

I’ve retired more than once and just keep coming back for more. I’ve worked in a lot of different fields over the years but have spent most of my career working with billings and collections of some sort.

I’m a native North Texan and lived most of my life in Fort Worth where my wife and I raised two wonderful boys. I have personally dealt with the effects of dementia and cared for my wife until I was no longer able to and moved her into a community where she could get the extensive care she needed.

I serve as an elder for my church and enjoy volunteering with various charitable organizations in Tarrant County.

I have a passion to serve our Residents and their families and look forward to meeting you.

Dorothy

Chef & Dining Services Director

Hello everyone, my name is Dorothy and I’m the Chef and Dining Services Director at Ashwood Court.

We take pride in making our home cooked meals and our desserts from scratch. I joined the Ashwood Court team almost 13 years ago and have loved every minute of it.

I was born in a small town in west Texas called Breckenridge and later moved farther west to an even smaller town called Rotan. After graduating high school, I moved to the big city, Abilene, where I worked as a chef at a senior living community for 10 years. I eventually worked my way up to Assistant Director before moving to Fort Worth.

When I’m not cooking for all of our wonderful Residents, I like to travel and spend time with my family.

I can’t wait to meet you.

Duane

Maintenance Director

Hello, my name is Duane. I’ve been the Maintenance Director for Ashwood Court for nearly three years.

Before joining the Ashwood team, I spent 18 years in the commercial heating and air conditioning field. Prior to that, I spent time as a correctional officer for the State of Texas and served proudly in the U.S. Navy as an avionics technician for four years after graduating high school.

Along with general maintenance, I oversee the housekeeping and laundry service and transportation. Our team works really hard to keep the building clean, safe and a place our Residents are proud to call home.

Kisha

Activities Director

Hello, I’m Kisha and I am the Activities Director at Ashwood Court where we are one big family!

I am a people person, mother of three and have lived in Fort Worth all my life.

I’ve been working here at Ashwood for almost 10 years and have done almost everything. This is not just a job, but my passion and it is an honor to get to work and bond with our Residents, families and staff. I have a big heart and love what I do. And most of all, I love our Residents. They make it all worthwhile.

When I am not at Ashwood, I am a member of a women’s social club and enjoy spending time with family.

Whether you like spending a beautiful day strolling through the Arboretum, touring Cowboys Stadium, going to the casino or just spending a quiet evening playing dominos, Ashwood has got you covered.
